SoundForum

SoundForum synthesizer by Native Instruments was generated with the modular sound and instrument design environment Reactor and is based on the audio engine of Dynamo. It gives two oscillators with four waveforms each, pulse-width modulation, infinitely variable waveform symmetry of first oscillator, ring-Modulation, FM and Sync, multimode-Filter with 8 different characteristics, resonance up to self-oscillation, ADSR-Envelope for amplitude and filter frequency, LFO with four waveforms including random, flexible modulation routing, Filter-Envelope: pitch, symmetry and amplitude of Osc 1 and Osc2, and much more. All panel elements controllable by MIDI controllers, but it lacks a stream to WAV function, which I see as a major downfall, but if you have a SoundBlaster soundcard, then you can record the sound output internally. However, the sounds created are absolutely stunning.

System Requirements:

  • Pentium 233 MHz
  • 32 MB RAM
  • 16-Bit Soundcard
  • Midi Keyboard (recommended)
