ITunes has grown over recent years from being a very basic application that just links the iPod with music on a users computer, to having an inbuilt music and store, as well as podcast directory and much more. iTunes is simple to use to both catalogue your music collection and rip CDs to sync with your iPod, even adding album art to all your music. However, all these features come at a price and that is speed. The latest version of iTunes can run very slowly on older PCs, as well as more modern computers that have their music stored on an external harddrive.
